Job Title: Parts and Accessories Director

This individual will have accountability and responsibility for providing leadership of replenishment procurement organization.  Responsibilities will include development of best practices for sourcing products, replenishment planning, support of buyer activities as well as driving accountability to process adherence, analysis of inventory health including developing metrics and action plans to increase inventory turns.  The director must possess outstanding communication skills, an ability to collaborate with suppliers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director of Product Purchasing job duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for adding/sourcing/importing new products in a consistent, and accurate manner. Structure product offering for use and catalog use in a manner that is consistent across brands/vendors and that directs customers’ purchasing decisions.

  • Work closely with the Design Staff, in a collaborative team environment, to take approved designs through the entire product development process.

  • Analyze trend, consumer, and competitive research.

  • Analyzing Inventory for opportunities to improve turns and identify excess Evaluate accurate headcount to support current and forecasted volumes.

  • Coordinating the disposition of inactive, excess, and obsolete inventory.

  • Maintenance of inventory planning 

  • Champion changes that drive greater efficiency and effectiveness in meeting internal customer needs

  • Work with warehouse, logistics and manufacturing floor to ensure customers’ deadlines and needs are met.

  • Communicates delays, shortages, problems, issues relating to shipments and/or inventory levels of purchased items

  • Must have an ability to interface effectively with internal finance, sales, marketing, and operating groups.

  • Develop and oversee budget creation, including capital expenditures and expenses.

  • Support forecasting and budgeting of anticipated purchases in current and future periods.

  • Support development and review of corporate S&OP activities.


  • Preferred 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, distribution, finance, or supply chain management

  • Preferred 2 years’ experience managing others
