McKinney, Texas — May 21, 2024 — HISUN Motors USA today announced the launch of its AXIS platform, introducing a new lineup of utility vehicles developed specifically for the retail channel. The initial release includes the AXIS X550 and XS750, now available exclusively through Lowe’s stores nationwide.

The AXIS platform represents a new approach to product development and go-to-market strategy for HISUN Motors USA, designed to deliver a more complete combination of capability, design, and functionality tailored to the needs of retail customers.

Unlike traditional retail offerings, which often prioritize cost at the expense of features and usability, the AXIS platform was developed as a fully integrated product system—balancing performance, durability, and user-focused features within a defined retail price structure.

“This platform was designed from the ground up to better align product, features, and customer expectations within the retail channel,” said Charles Kim, Chief Product Officer of HISUN Motors USA. “We focused on delivering a more complete vehicle—one that combines capability, usability, and thoughtful design in a way that hasn’t traditionally been executed in this segment at this price point.”  Charles added. “This platform represents the foundation of a broader product and go-to-market strategy that will continue to expand across both retail and dealer channels.”

The AXIS X550 and XS750 models feature independent suspension systems, selectable 4-wheel drive, premium wheels and tires, integrated winch systems, and a range of convenience and comfort features typically not found in comparable retail-focused vehicles.

“This is the strongest retail product introduction we’ve brought to market,” said Ryan Doherty, Executive Vice President of Sales, HISUN Motors USA. “The level of standard features and overall build of these vehicles at this price point creates a very compelling offering for customers and positions us well within the retail channel.”

In addition to the base vehicles, the AXIS platform introduces a more structured and integrated approach to accessories and attachments. HISUN Motors USA has developed a coordinated ecosystem of accessories designed to expand vehicle functionality, supporting a broader range of use cases for both work and recreational applications.

“We approached this platform as more than just a vehicle launch,” Charles added. “This is the beginning of a more structured product strategy that connects the vehicle, accessories, and overall customer experience into a cohesive system. It also establishes the foundation for future platforms that will continue to build on this approach.”

“AXIS represents an important step forward in how we develop and bring products to market,” said Jason Sun, then Chief Executive Officer of HISUN Motors USA. “This platform reflects a more aligned approach across product, engineering, and commercial teams, and we’re excited about what it represents for the future of the business.”

The AXIS X550 and XS750 are now available nationwide through Lowe’s stores, with additional platform expansions and product variants planned as part of HISUN’s broader portfolio roadmap.
